As part of the National Lottery’s 25th Anniversary celebration, the Albany asked artists @nigelbarrettandlouisemari Nigel Barrett and Louise Mari to spend the last few weeks talking to people on the streets, market stalls, shops and businesses of Deptford, knocking on doors and asking local people: ‘We want to make or do something at the Albany in Deptford that brings local people together and gives them something to talk about – what would you make or do if it was you ?’ This is one of 40 new projects taking place in and around 40 arts centres as part of Here and Now, a national and local celebration of culture within communities. Supported by Arts Council England and Future Arts Centres, marking the National Lottery’s 25th birthday.
